About this fabric

The close, even weave is visible across the swatch as fine vertical and horizontal threads rather than a printed motif. Its woad blue is subdued rather than bright, with a charcoal cast that softens the colour and lets the texture show through. The surface catches the light gently, creating slight tonal variation across the otherwise plain face. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this cool, greyed woad blue on a relaxed armchair or tailored sofa, or carry it through to full-length curtains for a quiet, enveloping scheme. Pair it with chalky neutrals, aged timber and warm brass to balance its slate-like depth.

Use this cool, greyed woad blue to bring quiet depth to upholstery, cushions or softly tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
