Basket Weave Lapis/Sky

Harlequin X Sophie Robinson Fabrics FabricHAF0506-03

Basket Weave Lapis/Sky presents a cool, densely interlaced blue surface, with brighter sky threads picking through a deeper lapis ground. The close-set grid gives the swatch a crisp, tactile rhythm rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

This 374 gsm woven fabric combines a saturated lapis blue with fine sky-coloured threads, creating a small-scale basket-weave texture that shifts subtly as the light catches the raised interlacing. Its dense construction and 26.4 threads per cm give the surface a substantial, closely packed appearance suited to upholstery. The usable width is 139 cm, with a standard length of 60 m. The design repeats over 9.5 cm vertically and 10 cm horizontally, maintaining an even, finely gridded effect across the cloth.

How to use it

Use this cool lapis-and-sky colourway on a statement armchair, dining seat or headboard, where its compact blue grid can sharpen softer neutral schemes. Pair it with chalky whites, pale timber and brushed metal to keep the look fresh and architectural.

Use the cool lapis-and-sky weave to bring crisp blue contrast to upholstered seating, headboards or occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
