About this fabric

The design shows repeated, stemmed bouquets with layered dahlias and smaller flowers in lapis blue, carnelian orange, vivid pink and spinel plum. Pale blue foliage fills the ground between the bouquets, keeping the overall impression cool and airy despite the saturated floral colours. At 252 gsm with 38 threads per cm, the cloth has a substantial mid-weight feel, while its 139 cm usable width supports both upholstery and drapery applications. The vertical repeat is 52.5 cm and the horizontal repeat is 46.5 cm; the standard length is 60 m.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a reading chair, headboard or full-length curtains where its icy blue background can soften the stronger coral and plum flowers. Pick out the orange or pink blooms in plain cushions or painted woodwork for a coordinated, lively scheme.

Use the cool blue ground to balance the vivid coral, pink and plum bouquet colours.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dahlia Bunch Lapis/Carnelian/Spinel without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
