Portland Maine Linen Flat is a calm, tailored stripe with a warm ivory ground and slim taupe bands. The overall effect is light and airy, with just enough structure to feel crisp rather than plain.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, this fabric has a 137cm usable width and a 35cm horizontal pattern repeat, making the stripe rhythm easy to plan across cushions, blinds or upholstery panels. The colourway pairs creamy off-white with slender taupe and sand-toned lines, so it reads soft and grounded rather than stark. Its 30,000 Martindale rating and heavy domestic upholstery grade make it suitable for seats as well as drapery and accessories. Colour fastness is rated 5, pilling 4, and it is treatable for FR drapery and upholstery.

How to use it

This warm neutral stripe works well on relaxed upholstered pieces, especially when you want pattern without visual weight. It also suits full-length curtains in rooms with natural timber, wicker or parchment finishes.

Use with pale woods and soft linen for a fresh, tailored look.
