Hartland Flint is a crisp, narrow-striped fabric in a cool pale grey with a softly chalky feel. The fine vertical contrast gives it a clean, tailored look without feeling harsh.

About this fabric

Woven in 50% cotton and 50% polyester, Hartland Flint has a neat pinstripe effect made up of very fine vertical lines with a 2cm horizontal pattern repeat and no vertical repeat. The colourway reads as a pale, cool grey with slightly darker graphite-toned striping, so the overall effect is light, restrained and quietly structured. With a usable width of 138cm and a Martindale rating of 30,000, it is a practical choice for accessories, drapery and heavy domestic upholstery. It is treatable for FR drapery and upholstery and should be dry cleaned only, while the 6 colour fastness and pilling rating of 3 support its everyday use.

How to use it

Use this Flint stripe to sharpen relaxed linen looks or to bring a subtle tailored note to curtains and cushions. Its cool grey palette pairs especially well with white, concrete, soft oak and deeper charcoal accents.

A crisp narrow stripe that works neatly on tailored upholstery or understated drapery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hartland Flint without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
