About this fabric

Woven in 50% cotton and 50% polyester, Hartland Hayle Indigo has a crisp handle and a clearly defined small-scale stripe that reads light and refined rather than heavy. The usable width is 138cm, with a 2cm horizontal repeat and no vertical repeat, which keeps the stripe regular across a bench, cushion or curtain drop. Its 30,000 Martindale rating and Heavy Domestic upholstery grade make it suitable for everyday use, while the treatable FR specification allows it to be used for both drapery and upholstery. The colourway combines cool indigo with soft blue-grey accents on an off-white ground, so the pattern feels calm, coastal and slightly tailored. Colour fastness 6 and dry-clean-only care support practical long-term use, and the low 3 pilling rating suggests a fabric best handled with care.

How to use it

Use this stripe on structured cushions, armchairs or Roman blinds where the cool indigo can sharpen pale timber, stone and painted finishes. It works especially well in rooms that need a fresh, ordered accent without feeling stark.

A crisp indigo pinstripe that suits tailored upholstery and neat drapery alike.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
