About this fabric
Catalogued as a carpet, this colourway has no performance features noted in the supplied specification. The visible construction is dense and substantial, with irregular horizontal texture and softly mottled tonal variation rather than a printed motif. Deep teal-blue threads are layered with charcoal and blue-grey highlights, giving the surface a cool, quietly dimensional appearance. The heavy-looking weave makes it best suited to upholstery applications.
How to use it
Use Woad on a structured armchair, footstool or sofa where its dark blue-green depth can anchor a room. Pair it with pale stone, aged oak or brushed metal to bring out the cooler blue-grey flecks in the weave.
Use this deep blue-green woven texture to add cool depth to tailored upholstery, especially alongside charcoal, stone or warm timber.

Pairs well with
Woad is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
