Code Parchment

Code Parchment is a soft, pale textile with a warm parchment cast and a finely broken woven surface. Its understated texture gives the light colour gentle variation rather than a flat, uniform finish.

About this fabric

The image shows a closely woven cream fabric patterned with tiny irregular diagonal marks that create a subtle, all-over herringbone-like effect. Its parchment tone sits between warm ivory and light beige, with the fine weave adding a lightly flecked depth across the surface. The small-scale texture remains quiet from a distance but becomes more visible in the close-up, where the interlocking marks catch the light. No further composition, width, rub-test or performance specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Code Parchment on an upholstered chair, sofa or headboard where its warm cream tone can soften deeper woods, natural linens and muted taupes. The fine broken weave also suits tonal schemes that need texture without a pronounced motif.

Pairs well with

Code Parchment is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
