About this fabric

Catalogued as a fabric, Gobi Clay presents an all-over plain surface rather than a printed pattern. Warm clay, dusty terracotta and fine brown flecks combine across the swatch to create a softly variegated appearance. The close, even weave makes the colour feel earthy and settled, while tiny tonal shifts stop the surface from appearing flat. Its restrained texture and low-key colour give this colourway a relaxed, quietly tactile character.

How to use it

Use Gobi Clay to bring a grounded warmth to a neutral room, pairing its dusty terracotta tone with oatmeal, stone, warm grey or dark timber. The fine woven texture works equally well across upholstered pieces and softly tailored window treatments.

A warm, softly textured clay tone that brings earthy depth to upholstery, curtains and layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
