Hackney Cayenne

Hackney Fabric

Hackney Cayenne is a saturated terracotta shade with a quietly textured surface. Its close, even weave gives the colour gentle depth rather than a flat block of red.

About this fabric

The fabric appears as a warm cayenne red, softened by fine tonal flecks that shift subtly across the surface. A small crosshatched texture is visible in the weave, creating understated visual interest without a printed motif. The shade sits between burnt orange and brick red, bringing warmth while retaining a composed, tailored character. Its versatile mid-weight appearance makes it suitable for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Hackney Cayenne to bring concentrated warmth to a reading chair, banquette or upholstered headboard, or let it frame a room as full-length curtains. Pair the brick-like terracotta with aged timber, cream, tobacco leather or muted olive for a grounded scheme.

A warm cayenne textile with a finely textured surface, equally suited to tailored upholstery and relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
