Hackney Aqua Grey

Hackney Fabric

Hackney Aqua Grey is a quiet, finely woven textile with a cool aqua cast beneath its soft grey surface. The close-up reveals a delicate crosshatch texture that gives the plain cloth subtle depth without introducing a visible pattern.

About this fabric

The colour reads as a softened blue-green grey, cooler than a conventional taupe but restrained rather than saturated. Fine horizontal and vertical threads create a close, even weave, with tiny shifts in the surface catching the light across the swatch. Its calm tone and unobtrusive texture make it a versatile choice for upholstery or drapery. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair this cool aqua-grey with chalky whites, pale timber and brushed metal for a light, composed scheme. It also works as a quietly coloured upholstery against warmer stone or sand tones, where its blue-green cast adds balance.

Use this cool aqua-grey weave to bring quiet colour and fine texture to upholstered seating or softly tailored window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
