Gobi Fabric

Gobi Swedish Grey has a calm, pale-grey appearance with subtle variation running through the close-up weave. Its lightly flecked surface gives the otherwise plain textile a gentle sense of depth.

About this fabric

The image shows a fine, tightly textured weave in a cool Swedish grey, softened by tiny lighter and darker threads across the surface. Rather than reading as a flat solid, the colour shifts gently between silvery grey and muted greige as the weave catches the light. The even construction and understated texture give this fabric a neat, tailored character suited to upholstery. No performance features are noted for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Swedish Grey on a clean-lined chair, sofa or headboard to create a restrained, quietly layered scheme. Its cool grey base works particularly well with chalky whites, pale oak, stone and small touches of black.

Use this softly mottled grey on tailored upholstery, where its quiet tonal variation can sit comfortably with pale timber, stone and warm neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
