Hampstead Fabric

Hampstead Eggshell is a softly warm, pale cream textile with a restrained woven surface. Its close, even texture gives the colour a subtle depth rather than a completely flat appearance.

About this fabric

The eggshell tone sits between ivory and light beige, reading warm and gentle rather than stark white. A fine, closely spaced weave is visible across the swatch, with tiny horizontal and vertical irregularities that catch the light softly. The surface is plain, with no printed motif, making the texture and delicate tonal variation the defining features of this colourway. The supplied specification lists no additional performance features or other technical data.

How to use it

Pair this warm eggshell neutral with chalky whites, pale oak and muted taupes for a calm, quietly layered room. It can also soften darker timber or painted furniture without introducing a strong competing colour.

Use this softly warm neutral where a fine, understated weave can bring gentle texture without visual busyness.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
