Hampstead Tobacco

Hampstead Fabric

Hampstead Tobacco has a warm, tobacco-gold appearance with a softly varied surface that shifts gently between amber and muted ochre. Its close-up reveals a fine, even woven texture rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

The visible surface is a small-scale plain weave, with closely set threads creating a delicate crosshatch effect and understated tactile depth. Its tobacco tone sits between golden ochre and warm camel, giving the colourway a grounded, sunlit character rather than a bright yellow cast. Fine pale flecks and darker thread variation keep the surface from appearing flat while preserving its quietly uniform look. No performance features are noted in the supplied specification.

How to use it

Use Hampstead Tobacco to warm a relaxed sitting room, pairing its golden-brown tone with chalky neutrals, aged timber and muted olive accents. The restrained woven texture can also coordinate upholstered seating with softly filtered window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
