Kirkby Design

Basket Pineapple

Basket Pineapple brings together cream, pineapple yellow, leafy green and warm tan in a tightly woven, finely patterned surface. Its narrow horizontal bands create a lively basket-like rhythm, while the pale ground keeps the colourway fresh and open.

About this fabric

The close-up reveals rows of tiny stepped checks and broken marks arranged into narrow horizontal stripes, giving the cloth a distinctive woven basket effect. Cream and soft yellow dominate the ground, with green accents adding cool contrast and tan notes warming the overall impression. The compact, textured construction reads as a substantial upholstery weave rather than a fluid curtain cloth. This fabric is catalogued with an Outdoor performance feature, making its upbeat, garden-inspired palette especially suitable for relaxed exterior or hard-working seating schemes.

How to use it

Pair the fresh cream and yellow ground with weathered timber, rattan and deep leafy greens; the green-and-tan detailing also works well with relaxed outdoor cushions and garden seating.

Use this cheerful outdoor weave on relaxed seating, cushions or occasional upholstery alongside natural timber and leafy greens.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Basket Pineapple without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
