About this fabric

The close-up shows a compact woven texture formed by fine horizontal lines, tiny slubs and subtly lighter threads rather than a printed motif. Its olive tone is subdued and grounded, with a slightly smoky cast that keeps the colour feeling calm rather than bright. The even surface has enough visual variation to bring depth to plain upholstery, cushions or softly gathered curtains. No composition, width or rub-test figures are supplied for this fabric, and no performance features are noted.

How to use it

Use Layer Olive to bring a muted, earthy green note to a relaxed sitting room, pairing it with warm timber, stone, oatmeal or softly aged brass. The gently striated surface also works well against smoother plains, where its horizontal texture can be appreciated.

Its muted olive tone and softly irregular weave suit relaxed upholstery, cushions, curtains and layered natural schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
