Utility Chalk

Utility Fabric

Utility Chalk is a softly luminous near-white textile with a fine, even weave. Its chalky cream tone is gently warmed rather than stark, while close inspection reveals delicate vertical texture across the surface.

About this fabric

The swatch shows a plain, closely woven fabric in a pale chalk cream, with fine vertical lines giving the surface a restrained textile grain. Light catches the tiny woven ridges subtly, adding depth without introducing a visible motif or contrast. The cloth reads as a versatile mid-weight suitable for both upholstery and drapery based on its dense, even appearance. No composition, width, rub-test or performance specification has been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Pair Utility Chalk with warm timber, natural linen and softly aged neutrals to preserve its calm cream character. Its lightly textured surface also works as a quiet counterpoint to stronger patterned or darker furnishings.

Use this pale chalk tone to keep upholstery or window treatments feeling light, quiet and finely textured.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
