Dattier - Nuit

Contrée Sauvage Fabric3247-03

Dattier - Nuit combines an inky navy ground with closely drawn ochre-gold fan shapes, creating a distinctly architectural, Art Deco-inspired surface. The dark base gives the pattern depth, while the warm metallic-looking lines catch the eye across the repeat.

About this fabric

The deep navy ground reads cool and almost ink-like, setting off the ochre-gold radiating lines that form repeated scalloped fans. Fine linear marks and a subtly granular woven surface give the design definition rather than a flat printed appearance. The compact repeat has a measured, symmetrical rhythm, with each fan opening upwards in layered arcs. No performance features are noted in the supplied specification, so its upholstery suitability here is based on the visibly substantial woven character rather than a stated technical rating.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a tailored armchair, dining seat or compact sofa where the navy ground can bring depth without losing the warmth of the ochre-gold pattern. Echo the gold with aged brass or warm timber, keeping surrounding fabrics restrained so the rhythmic fan repeat remains the focal point.

A richly patterned woven for tailored upholstery, pairing a deep navy ground with warm ochre-gold fan motifs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
