Patchwork - Fusain

La Croisière s'amuse Fabric3614-01

Patchwork - Fusain presents a near-black charcoal ground with several horizontal bands of intricate woven geometry. The pattern shifts from looping forms to lattices, scalloped arches and maze-like lines, giving the swatch a distinctly graphic character.

About this fabric

The deepest charcoal tone absorbs much of the light, while raised ribbed lines pick out the repeating motifs in softer grey-black relief. Across the width, the design combines rounded loop shapes, compact diamond forms, fan-like scallops and a tightly drawn linear border. Its visibly substantial, structured weave makes this colourway best suited to upholstery rather than fluid drapery. No composition, width or rub-test specification has been supplied, and no performance features are noted.

How to use it

Use Fusain on a statement armchair, dining chair or sofa where its cool charcoal depth can anchor lighter walls, pale timber and brushed metal. Keep surrounding textiles relatively plain so the alternating geometric bands remain the focal point.

Use this deep charcoal colourway to bring graphic depth and a quietly dramatic finish to upholstered furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
