About this fabric

The swatch is formed from several horizontal woven registers: a small linked pattern at the top, repeated scalloped fan motifs through the centre and a sinuous geometric design along the lower band. Its burgundy tone reads as dark and muted rather than bright, with the raised-looking pattern catching just enough light to reveal the surface relief. The closely worked weave gives the textile a substantial, decorative appearance suited to upholstery. This colourway is catalogued as a fabric; no composition, width or performance specification has been supplied.

How to use it

Pair the deep burgundy with dark timber, antique brass or warm brown leather, allowing the horizontal pattern bands to add rhythm to a chair, headboard or occasional upholstered piece.

Use this deep wine-burgundy textile to bring graphic pattern and low-lit richness to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Patchwork - Burgundy without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
