Absolu - Rubis

Absolu Fabric3241-34

Absolu - Rubis presents a saturated ruby-red ground with a quiet, finely textured surface. The plain face lets the depth of the red provide the visual interest, with subtle tonal variation visible across the swatch.

About this fabric

This is a plain textile in a rich ruby red, reading deeper toward the lower edge of the photographed swatch and slightly brighter across the centre. A fine, even grain gives the surface understated texture without introducing a visible motif or pattern repeat. The red has a composed, confident character rather than a bright scarlet appearance, making the colour feel particularly suited to tailored schemes. No composition, width, rub-test or other technical specification has been supplied for this fabric, and no performance features are noted.

How to use it

Use Absolu - Rubis to bring concentrated colour to a reading chair, upholstered bench or full-length curtain, pairing its deep red with warm timber, charcoal or muted neutral tones. Its plain surface also works well where the room needs a strong ruby accent without adding another pattern.

The deep ruby tone and restrained surface texture suit tailored upholstery, cushions, curtains or blinds.

Pairs well with

Absolu - Rubis is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
