Traverse Gunmetal

Rhythm Fabric

Traverse Gunmetal is a deep charcoal-grey textile patterned with rows of small, irregular pale dashes. Its close-set motif creates a quietly graphic surface, while the woven texture keeps the colour from appearing flat.

About this fabric

The image shows a dark gunmetal ground crossed by broken horizontal marks in soft grey and off-white. The marks sit in loosely aligned vertical columns, giving the design a measured rhythm without becoming a conventional stripe. A subtly nubby woven surface catches the light across the charcoal base, adding depth and a restrained contrast between the ground and motif.

How to use it

Use this cool, deep gunmetal colourway on a tailored armchair, dining seat or ottoman where its pale dash pattern can read as a fine graphic texture. Pair it with chalky whites, smoked oak and brushed metal to draw out its crisp, tonal contrast.

A dense gunmetal ground and pale broken-dash motif give this woven textile a crisp, graphic upholstery character.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Traverse Gunmetal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
