Cameo Typhoon

Timeless Embroideries Fabric

Cameo Typhoon pairs a deep blue-green ground with a restrained, repeating ogee trellis. Its cool, shadowed tone gives the embroidered pattern a particularly calm and architectural presence.

About this fabric

The finely woven face is coloured a rich blue-green teal, reading almost charcoal in the darker areas of the swatch. Slender taupe-grey embroidered lines trace elongated ogee forms in a continuous vertical arrangement, creating definition without a high-contrast effect. The subdued outline catches the light gently against the matte-looking ground, while the repeated motif brings measured rhythm and smart formality. As a textile from Mark Alexander’s Timeless Embroideries collection, this colourway is suited to drapery where its depth and linear pattern can be appreciated across a larger fall of cloth.

How to use it

Use Cameo Typhoon for full-length curtains or Roman blinds in a room with warm oak, aged brass and soft stone upholstery; the cool teal ground will provide depth without overpowering the muted taupe embroidery.

Use this cool blue-green colourway to bring quiet depth to curtains, alongside warm timber or softly contrasting neutrals.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Cameo Typhoon without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
