Cento Beech

Timeless Embroideries Fabric

Cento Beech brings a quiet architectural rhythm to the window, with fine taupe lines tracing irregular rectangular panels across a translucent ivory ground. In the photograph, daylight passes through the cloth to create a soft, airy veil.

About this fabric

The fabric has a light, sheer appearance and a fine, subtly slubbed surface, visible where the folds catch the daylight. Its warm ivory ground is crossed by delicate taupe embroidered lines, forming elongated rectangles with an understated hand-drawn quality rather than a rigid checked repeat. The cloth falls fluidly to the floor, making this colourway particularly suited to curtains and other softly gathered window treatments. No performance features are noted for this fabric; its character comes from the translucent weave, gentle tonal contrast and quietly graphic embroidery.

How to use it

Pair Cento Beech with chalky stone, pale timber and warm grey finishes so the ivory ground feels luminous rather than stark. Hang it full-length in a bright room where the taupe linear motif can echo surrounding architectural details.

Use this translucent ivory colourway to soften daylight while preserving the room’s architectural lines.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
