Cartouche Antique White

Timeless Embroideries Fabric

Cartouche Antique White pairs a softly warm ivory ground with almost tone-on-tone cartouche motifs. The fine surface catches the light gently, revealing the pattern without breaking the calm of the colourway.

About this fabric

This colourway is built around a pale antique-white base, subtly warmer than a stark optic white. Repeated rounded cartouche forms emerge in delicate relief across the surface, while fine vertical striations add a quiet woven texture. The close tonal contrast keeps the pattern understated, allowing the fabric to read as a softly patterned cloth from a distance. Its light, fine appearance makes it especially suited to drapery where the motif can remain elegant rather than dominant.

How to use it

Use it for full-length curtains in a warm white, stone or pale taupe scheme, where the antique ivory tone can soften crisp architectural finishes. Pair with aged brass, painted timber and lightly textured upholstery for a composed, classical room.

A restrained ivory ground with barely-there cartouche embroidery for quietly classical curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
