Kara Antique White

Istra Fabric

Kara Antique White is a quiet, finely woven textile with the softly aged appearance of antique ivory rather than a stark, bright white. Its even surface gives the colour a subtle depth as the light moves across it.

About this fabric

The swatch shows a very fine, regular weave with a restrained linear texture and no visible pattern or contrast. Its antique-white ground reads as gently warm and creamy, softened further by the delicate woven surface. The close, lightweight-looking cloth is best suited to drapery, where its pale tone can retain a calm, airy presence without appearing stark.

How to use it

Use Kara Antique White for relaxed curtains in rooms with warm timber, natural stone or softly coloured walls. Its creamy, aged-white tone works particularly well where a pure white would feel too sharp.

Use this softly aged ivory tone for calm, light-filtering curtains and understated window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
