Morris 160th Anniversary Fabric FabricMOF0029-03

Mary Isobel Pink/Ivory unfolds across an ivory ground with softly coloured, scrolling botanical stems and large floral heads. Muted rose pinks provide the focus, while sage, olive, ochre and grey-green linework give the design a gently aged depth.

About this fabric

This detailed floral fabric combines rose-pink blossoms with pale ivory petals, olive and sage leaves, ochre accents and fine grey-green outlines. The 250 gsm weight and 22 threads per cm indicate a versatile mid-weight cloth suitable for both upholstery and drapery. Its 91 cm vertical repeat and 68 cm horizontal repeat allow the curling stems, open leaves and scattered flowers to read as a generously scaled composition. The 135 cm usable width and 60 m standard length are practical specifications for planning larger furnishing projects.

How to use it

Pair this Pink/Ivory colourway with warm ivory upholstery, sage-painted timber and restrained ochre accents, allowing the muted rose flowers to supply colour without becoming overly sweet. It would suit curtains, a reading-chair cover or cushions where the scrolling stems can be shown at full scale.

Use the softened rose, ivory, sage and ochre palette to bring an Arts and Crafts feel to upholstery, curtains or cushions.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Mary Isobel Pink/Ivory without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
