Pimpernel Red/Thyme

Morris 160th Anniversary Fabric FabricMOF0059-03

Pimpernel Red/Thyme is a densely patterned floral textile in a deep thyme-green and red palette, enlivened with cream flowers. The close-set vines and stylised blooms give the surface a richly illustrated, highly decorative character.

About this fabric

The 233 gsm fabric has a 139 cm usable width, making this substantial mid-weight suitable for both upholstery and drapery applications. Its pattern repeats every 35.5 cm vertically and 46 cm horizontally, creating a regular field of cream, fan-shaped flowers, red blossoms and curling green foliage. The thyme ground reads muted and earthy, while the red details add warmth and depth rather than a bright, clean contrast. With 67 threads per centimetre and a standard 60 m length, it is specified for consistent patterning across larger schemes.

How to use it

Pair Pimpernel Red/Thyme with warm cream walls and aged timber to draw out the pale flowers, or use it as a concentrated accent against plain upholstery in muted olive, russet or parchment tones. Its deep green-and-red balance works particularly well on a statement chair, upholstered bench or lined curtain.

Use this richly detailed red, cream and thyme-green floral for statement upholstery, Roman blinds or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
