Brer Rabbit Slate/Vellum

Morris and Friends Wallpapers WallpaperMOW0018-01

Brer Rabbit Slate/Vellum brings Morris & Co.’s dense woodland scene into focus with muted slate-blue foliage, rabbits and birds set against a warm vellum ground. The softly weathered print gives the colourway a calm, timeworn depth rather than a bright or highly saturated finish.

About this fabric

This wallpaper shows repeating trees, curling leaves, rabbits and small birds in a cool slate teal against pale vellum, with the lightly mottled surface adding a softly aged quality. It has a usable width of 52 cm and a vertical pattern repeat of 40.6 cm, allowing the illustrated scene to build in orderly panels across a wall. Supplied in a standard 10.05 m length, the 198 gsm paper has enough visual presence for the intricate foliage and animal motifs to remain legible. The horizontal repeat is specified as 0 cm.

How to use it

Pair the cool slate teal with chalky whites, natural oak and aged brass to draw out the vellum ground, or use it across a smaller room for an enveloping woodland effect.

Use this cool slate-and-vellum colourway to bring softly aged botanical character to a study, hallway or bedroom.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
