About this fabric

Black Ink sets the scrolling acanthus into a cool charcoal-grey ground, with pale stone and ivory leaves picked out in fine dark linework. The close, all-over layout gives the 85 cm vertical and 65.2 cm horizontal repeat a richly layered, almost engraved appearance. At 312 gsm and 155 threads per cm, the cloth has a substantial, closely made handle suited to upholstery as well as drapery. Its 130 cm usable width and 30 m standard length provide practical coverage for coordinated interior schemes.

How to use it

Pair this cool black-and-ivory colourway with warm timber, aged metal and plain ivory upholstery to soften its graphic contrast. Used on a reading chair, sofa or full-length curtains, the dense acanthus pattern creates a formal focal point without introducing bright colour.

Use this cool charcoal and ivory colourway to bring ornate, high-contrast botanical depth to upholstery, curtains or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
