About this fabric

The 510gsm cloth has a substantial weight suited to upholstery, while its 13 threads per cm give the printed surface a close, dependable structure. Its usable width is 139cm, with a generous 120cm vertical repeat and 139cm horizontal repeat that allow the sweeping foliage to read across a chair, headboard or sofa panel. The Black Ink ground appears blue-charcoal rather than flat black, bringing cool depth beneath the creamy, hand-drawn-looking leaves and curling stems. Fine pale linework within the foliage adds definition, while scattered muted mustard blooms provide small points of warmth.

How to use it

Use Black Ink on a statement armchair, footstool or sofa in a room with warm ivory walls and aged timber, allowing the mustard flower details to connect with brass or ochre accents. Its cool charcoal-blue depth also works well with chalky blue-grey paint and natural linen.
