Teo Clay

Elva Fabric

Teo Clay is a warm, understated woven fabric with the earthy depth of fired clay softened by taupe and natural beige tones. Its close, even construction gives the surface a quietly tactile appearance.

About this fabric

Viewed close up, the fabric has a fine plain weave formed by closely set vertical and horizontal yarns, with tiny tonal flecks across the surface. The clay-taupe colour reads warm rather than grey, while lighter threads catch the light gently and prevent the neutral shade from appearing flat. With no visible motif or directional pattern, Teo Clay offers a calm, continuous ground for upholstered forms, curtains or blinds.

How to use it

Use Teo Clay to warm a neutral sitting room, pairing its earthy taupe tone with oak, chalky whites and muted terracotta. Its plain woven surface also works well as a quiet contrast to patterned cushions or decorative upholstery.

A softly textured clay-taupe weave that brings quiet warmth to upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
