Otis Taupe

Floris Fabric

Otis Taupe combines a deep charcoal-taupe ground with a dense scattering of pale beige, irregular marks. Its closely woven surface reads as softly mottled, with subtle tonal variation across the swatch.

About this fabric

The dark taupe base gives this colourway a cooler, grounded character, while the light beige flecks add gentle contrast without becoming bright or stark. The small, organic marks resemble closely grouped leaves or pebbles, forming an intricate all-over pattern. Visible woven texture breaks up the colour slightly, allowing the surface to catch the light in a restrained, tactile way.

How to use it

Use Otis Taupe where a room needs layered pattern in a quiet charcoal-taupe palette, such as a tailored chair, headboard or full-length curtain. Its pale beige markings can sit comfortably alongside warm neutrals while retaining a cooler depth.

The muted charcoal-taupe ground and pale flecks bring quiet pattern to upholstery or drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
