Catalogued as a fabric in Romo’s Floris collection, this colourway has a tactile, softly napped appearance rather than a flat printed look. The dominant seal-grey ground is coolest in the upper section of the image, while lower areas read almost aubergine-charcoal as the nap changes direction. Small ivory and pale blush blossoms are scattered densely across it, with restrained ochre-gold marks adding warmth.
