About this fabric

This is a plain velvet with no visible motif, allowing the depth of the olive-gold colour to define its character. The close-up shows a soft, even pile with a restrained sheen rather than a high-gloss finish. Darker passages at the upper edge and a lighter sweep near the bottom make the directional nap particularly clear. As a catalogued velvet, it has the substantial, tactile appearance associated with upholstery.

How to use it

Use Frieda Olivette on a classic armchair, sofa or headboard where its deep olive tone can act as a grounded focal colour. Pair it with aged brass, warm timber and chalky neutrals to draw out the shade’s muted golden depth.
