About this fabric

The dark emerald ground is softened by low-contrast charcoal, blue-green and muted earthy shifts, giving the colourway considerable depth without a sharp contrast. Its surface shows broad horizontal and vertical markings with a painterly, gently weathered appearance. At 310gsm and 140cm usable width, it is a versatile mid-weight for upholstery or drapery. The pattern repeats over 50cm vertically and 49.5cm horizontally, supplied in a standard 30m length.

How to use it

Use the cool, smoky emerald against pale stone, blackened timber or aged brass to bring out its depth. On upholstery it will read as quietly dramatic, while curtains will emphasise the tonal movement in the woven surface.

A cool, shadowed emerald with subtle tonal structure, suited to tailored upholstery and full-length drapery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Alessia Emerald without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
