Explorer Pastel

Land & Sea FabricCCF0257-03

Explorer Pastel maps out a gentle coastal story in faded blue, sage, coral and grey, with place names including Lowestoft, Walcott and Blakeney scattered across a pale ground. The softly washed palette gives the printed cloth a light, nostalgic character.

About this fabric

The design is made up of varied label and tag shapes, including Lowestoft, Cromer, Thorness and Great Yarmouth, with small tie and seal details adding to the travel-postcard feel. Its chalky cream background lets the muted turquoise-blue, soft sage, dusty coral and grey-green marks remain clearly legible without becoming bright or high-contrast. With a 224 gsm weight and 137 cm usable width, Explorer Pastel is a versatile mid-weight fabric for both upholstery and drapery. The pattern has a 31.5 cm vertical repeat and a 34.3 cm horizontal repeat, so the illustrated labels should be considered when matching lengths or positioning motifs.

How to use it

Use Explorer Pastel on relaxed occasional upholstery, cushions or informal curtains, where its pale blue-green and dusty coral accents can sit alongside chalky cream, weathered timber and soft grey.

Pair the pale coastal palette with relaxed upholstery, cushions or easy drapery in washed neutrals and soft blue-green accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
