About this fabric

The swatch shows ivory, line-drawn swallows in different flying positions against a cool, muted sage ground, with feather markings clearly picked out across each bird. A fine, even ground weave remains visible beneath the design, giving the 224gsm textile a composed mid-weight handle suited to both upholstery and drapery. The vertical pattern repeat is 63cm and the horizontal repeat is 45.7cm, creating a noticeable but not oversized rhythm across a chair, blind or curtain. With a usable width of 137cm and a standard length of 40m, this colourway is practical for coordinated room schemes where the soft green tone can sit alongside natural, cream or pale timber finishes.

How to use it

Use the cool sage ground on a reading chair, relaxed Roman blind or scatter cushions, then echo the ivory swallows with warm white linen and natural wood. Its subdued green tone works especially well where a patterned fabric is wanted without a strong or saturated colour statement.

The muted sage ground and ivory swallows bring a light, graphic rhythm to upholstery, curtains and cushions.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Fly Away Away Sage without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
