Courtney Stone

Chiswick Grove Wallpapers WallpaperSAW0087-02

Courtney Stone presents a grand, symmetrical damask in a quiet stone taupe, with pale ivory ornamenting a softly mottled background. The low-contrast palette lets the scrolling floral detail emerge with a gentle, powdered quality.

About this fabric

The design is built around a large central damask, framed by curling leaves, stylised flowers and fine scrolling stems that fill the 52 cm vertical repeat. Pale ivory motifs sit against a warm grey-beige stone ground, while the subtle tonal variation keeps the dense pattern from appearing stark. Supplied at 52 cm wide and 10.05 m long, this wallpaper has a 52 cm vertical repeat and a stated weight of 158 gsm. Courtney Stone’s restrained contrast gives the ornate composition a calm, softly antique presence rather than a bright or highly decorative effect.

How to use it

Use Courtney Stone on a dining-room or bedroom wall where its pale stone taupe ground can sit comfortably with warm white paint, linen, aged wood and muted brass. The large damask scale makes it especially effective across a broad, uninterrupted wall, allowing the ivory scrollwork to read as a continuous panel.

Pair this pale stone damask with warm whites, natural timber and softly aged metallic accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Courtney Stone without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
