About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric has a usable width of 139 cm and a substantial 218 gsm weight, giving the weave enough body for tailored curtains as well as lighter upholstery applications. The 34 cm vertical repeat and 23 cm horizontal repeat support the elongated, brushstroke-like stripes visible in the cloth, which vary from pale silver-grey to warmer taupe. Its high thread count of 144 threads per cm gives the surface a dense, crisp handle and a finely detailed texture. Cherwell Pewter reads cool and understated rather than glossy, with the pattern appearing softly weathered against the pale ground.

How to use it

Use this pewter colourway where you want texture first and colour second: it works especially well on an armchair, dining chairs or relaxed interlined curtains. Pair it with chalk white, smoked oak and pale stone for a calm, contemporary scheme.

A cool, versatile neutral that adds subtle movement without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
