About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Country House Fabrics collection has a substantial 800 gsm handle and a tightly woven texture that feels made for upholstered pieces. The 140 cm usable width and no-repeat specification make it a straightforward choice for cutting larger items, while the 20.5 threads per cm support the compact, durable surface you can see in the swatch. Its mushroom tone is gently variegated, with pale beige highlights and deeper brown flecks that stop the colour from reading flat. The overall effect is relaxed and grounded rather than sharp, with enough depth to sit comfortably in country-style interiors.

How to use it

Use it on a sofa, footstool or dining chair to bring a soft, earthy anchor into a scheme. It works especially well with natural wood, aged brass and off-white linens, where the warm taupe notes can do the balancing.
