Kitchen Garden Embroidery Gloucestershire Pear

Highgrove by Sanderson Fabrics FabricSAF0464-02

Kitchen Garden Embroidery in Gloucestershire Pear brings a fresh, heritage feel with its pear-toned embroidery on a warm ivory ground. The trailing floral motif reads airy and decorative, with pale green border waves that soften the overall pattern.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric is a substantial 355gsm textile with a usable width of 129 cm, making it a confident choice where body and presence matter. The design shows scrolling floral stems and rounded fruit-like forms in muted pear green, sage, gold and soft brown embroidery on an ivory base. Its 47.5 cm vertical repeat and 64 cm horizontal repeat create a measured, column-like rhythm that feels orderly rather than busy. With 40 threads per cm, the cloth has a fine enough surface for the stitched detail to register clearly while still carrying visual weight.

How to use it

The soft pear palette works beautifully in rooms with painted joinery, antique wood and quiet natural light, where the embroidery can read as gently collected rather than loud. It would suit tailored curtains, relaxed armchairs or a smart headboard when you want pattern with a light, garden-inspired tone.

Pair with pale timber, chalky neutrals and brushed brass to let the pear-toned embroidery stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
