About this fabric

Squirrel and Dove Embroidery Linen/Ivory from Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics is a fabric with a usable width of 143 cm, a standard length of 25 m, a 58.5 cm vertical repeat and a 46 cm horizontal repeat. At 214 gsm and 31 threads per cm, it has enough substance to sit neatly on a window or upholstered piece while still showing the fine detail of the stitched-looking branchwork. The colourway reads as soft ivory rather than stark white, with warm taupe and brown outlines that keep the pattern grounded and easy to live with. Against the pale background, the stylised birds and squirrels stand out crisply, giving the design a calm but animated character.

How to use it

The ivory ground makes this a good choice for schemes with natural wood, antique brass or muted green accents, where the dark branches can echo other linear details in the room. It works especially well where you want pattern and texture without introducing a heavy colour block.

Use for tailored curtains or statement upholstery where the ivory ground and dark branchwork can read clearly.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Squirrel and Dove Embroidery Linen/Ivory without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
