Summer Tree Lilac

Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics FabricSAF0037-01

Summer Tree Lilac shows a cream ground scattered with climbing branches, loose flowers and airy seed heads in washed lilac-pink, sage and pale sky blue. The overall effect is delicate and restful, with enough scale to feel decorative rather than tiny or fussy.

About this fabric

This Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics textile has a usable width of 137 cm, a standard length of 50 m, a 91 cm vertical repeat and a full-width 137 cm horizontal repeat, so the pattern is designed to sit boldly across the cloth. At 250 gsm with 23.2 threads per cm, it reads as a substantial decorative fabric rather than a gossamer sheer. In this colourway the tree motifs and winding stems are softened by a creamy background and a cool lilac-pink palette, with fresh green foliage and small berry accents adding contrast. The hand-drawn flowers feel airy and painterly, and the wide repeat gives the design room to breathe across larger surfaces.

How to use it

The soft lilac ground works beautifully in rooms with pale timber, aged brass or chalky painted finishes, especially where you want a gentle floral that does not feel overly sweet. Use it for a statement armchair, curtains or a coordinated scheme that needs a calm, country-house lift.

Use for softly romantic curtains or light upholstery with a fresh country feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
