Swallows Wedgwood

Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics FabricSAF0042-02

Swallows Wedgwood pairs a calm Wedgwood-blue ground with sweeping swallow motifs in soft white and warm grey. The repeated birds read light and airy, with enough scale to make an elegant statement.

About this fabric

This Sanderson One Sixty Fabrics design is supplied as a fabric with a usable width of 137 cm, a standard length of 60 m, a vertical repeat of 64.5 cm and a horizontal repeat of 70 cm. At 260 gsm, it sits in a versatile mid-weight range that works well for both upholstery and drapery. The swallows are drawn in an open, in-flight arrangement, and the pale chalky bodies and wings stand out clearly against the serene blue ground. The overall effect is fresh and uplifting rather than bright, with the blue feeling softly washed and slightly cool.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern without heaviness: a pair of accent chairs, a blind, or curtains in a room with white-painted joinery. The cool blue ground also sits beautifully with natural wood and soft grey upholstery.

Pair with pale linens or crisp whites to let the airy bird motif and cool blue ground feel fresh and elegant.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
