About this fabric

Fine alternating chestnut-brown and ivory yarns form a tightly worked chevron across the face. The small V-shaped lines create a clear directional rhythm, with the pale threads catching against the deeper brown to emphasise the weave. Chestnut reads as warm and slightly terracotta-leaning here, giving the fabric more depth than a flat mid-brown. Catalogued as a Fabric in Swaffer’s Weave collection, Galdana Chestnut is a substantial-looking textile suited to structured upholstery.

How to use it

Use Galdana Chestnut on an armchair, bench or occasional sofa where its warm brown tone can anchor a room. Balance the ivory flecks with natural timber, aged brass and softly contrasting cream textiles.
