About this fabric

The dominant tone is a deep, warm brown, softened by blue-grey threads that define the curling damask-like scrolls and geometric diagonals. Small variations in the weave give the surface a tactile, slightly grainy character rather than a flat printed finish. Its muted contrast creates a layered, quietly decorative effect, while the cooler blue accents keep the brown ground from feeling heavy.

How to use it

Pair Inchcolm Spice with warm timber, aged leather and blue-grey painted accents, using it on a statement chair or traditional sofa where the scrolling pattern can be appreciated up close.

Use this richly textured woven damask to bring warm, weathered colour and layered pattern to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
