About this fabric

The colour reads as a warm conker brown, deepened by darker brown threads and occasional coppery flecks that catch across the surface. Its closely packed weave has a low, horizontal rib effect rather than a printed motif, giving the cloth visual depth at close range. The substantial-looking texture makes this colourway particularly suited to upholstery, where its varied brown tones can disguise small marks. No composition, width, rub-test or performance specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this warm conker shade on a reading chair, sofa or footstool to bring grounded depth to a room, pairing it with aged timber, tobacco leather and muted stone neutrals. Its flecked surface also works well alongside rust, oatmeal and charcoal accents.

A richly flecked brown weave with a tactile, hardwearing-looking character for upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
