Berland Lichen

Berland Fabric

Berland Lichen has a quietly earthy olive-green ground, crossed by narrow vertical bands of finely drawn geometric diamonds. Its close-woven surface creates subtle shifts between mossy, khaki and lighter lichen tones.

About this fabric

The design is organised into alternating vertical stripes, with small diamond and chevron-like motifs picked out in lighter threads against the deeper olive background. A softly mottled woven texture gives the colourway depth rather than a flat, uniform finish, while the restrained contrast keeps the pattern composed. The regular stripe direction brings a tailored quality that can read both architectural and understated on a larger surface. No further composition, width, rub-test or performance specification is supplied for this catalogued fabric.

How to use it

Pair Berland Lichen with warm timber, aged brass and chalky neutrals to bring out its earthy depth, or use it against rust and ochre accents for a richer, grounded scheme. The vertical pattern is particularly effective on blinds, curtains, dining chairs or a structured headboard.

Use the muted olive ground and finely patterned vertical bands to add tailored texture to upholstery, curtains or layered schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
