About this fabric

This colourway reads as a dense charcoal grey, approaching black in the deepest recesses of the drape while lifting to softer graphite across the raised areas. Its short, brushed pile gives the plain surface a velvety softness, with fine tonal variation visible rather than a printed motif. The sweeping folds catch the light along their edges and create a quietly dimensional finish. With its substantial-looking, plush handle, this textile is particularly suited to upholstery where texture and depth are central to the design.

How to use it

Pair the deep charcoal tone with warm timber, aged brass and softly contrasting ivory textiles for a cocooning scheme. It also works as a grounding upholstery shade against pale walls and lighter flooring.

Use this deep charcoal shade to bring plush texture and quiet drama to upholstered seating, headboards or occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
